LIFX® Limited Warranty

General

Feit Electric Company, Inc. (“LIFX”) warrants each LIFX product (“Product”) against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use (“Defect”) for a period of two (2) years (730 days) from the date of retail purchase by the original purchaser (“Warranty Period”).

This Limited Warranty applies to Products purchased directly from lifx.com or from authorized LIFX retailers and distributors. Products purchased from unauthorized resellers or secondhand marketplaces are not covered.

During the Warranty Period, if a Defect arises and a valid claim is received by LIFX, we will, at our sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law, either:

  1. Repair the Product at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts; or
  2. Exchange the Product with a new or refurbished unit of the same or equivalent model.

A replacement Product or part assumes the remaining warranty of the original Product or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever is longer.

Replacement parts or Products provided by LIFX under this warranty must only be used with LIFX Products for which service is claimed. Any replaced Product becomes the property of LIFX.

How to Make a Claim

To obtain warranty service, you must:

  1. Contact LIFX Support via lifx.com/support or support@lifx.com.
  2. Provide proof of purchase (receipt, order confirmation, or invoice).
  3. Follow instructions provided for return or exchange authorization.

Customers are responsible for the cost of returning the Product to LIFX, unless prohibited by law.

Exclusions and Limitations

This Limited Warranty applies only to Products manufactured by or for LIFX that bear the LIFX trademark, trade name, or logo.

It does not apply to:

  • Non-LIFX hardware or accessories.
  • Consumable components (e.g., batteries).
  • Software or mobile applications, even if packaged or sold with the Product.
  • Defects or damage resulting from misuse, abuse, accident, fire, flood, power surges, or other external causes.
  • Improper installation, operation outside intended specifications, or failure to follow product instructions.
  • Modifications, repairs, or servicing by anyone not authorized by LIFX.
  • Use of the Product with incompatible devices or third-party components.

This warranty does not cover products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including but not limited to third-party marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, or Walmart Marketplace. Products purchased from such sellers may be used, counterfeit, or not designed for your region.

LIFX does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Product. Recovery or reinstallation of software programs and user data is not covered under this warranty.

No reseller, distributor, or agent is authorized to modify or extend this warranty on behalf of LIFX.

Exclusive Warranties

The warranties set forth herein are the only warranties provided by LIFX.

Except as required by law, all other warranties, whether express or implied (including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement), are hereby disclaimed.

Limitation of Damages

Except as required by law, LIFX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Product or breach of any warranty or condition.

LIFX’s total liability under any theory of law shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Product.

Consumer Protection

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have additional rights that vary by state.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Limited Warranty shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute or claim arising from this Limited Warranty shall be resolved in a cost-effective manner through binding, non-appearance-based arbitration administered by a recognized alternative dispute resolution provider.

If arbitration does not apply, you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, LIFX may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights.
