These are previous generation LIFX lights. Same build quality, same brilliant color, same app. They've been replaced by newer models with Matter support, so we're clearing them out at a better price. You're getting full-spec LIFX at a discount, not a compromise.

One exception: the Smart Switches in this collection can be updated to Matter via a firmware update. You'll need to complete initial onboarding via HomeKit or Wi-Fi direct first, then the update is available in-app.

Yes, fully. Android setup runs through the LIFX app via Wi-Fi and works exactly the same as current generation products. No HomeKit, no limitations.

Matter is the newer smart home standard that works across ecosystems without needing a separate hub or bridge. These clearance products use Apple HomeKit for iOS setup instead, which requires an Apple Home hub (HomePod, Apple TV, or iPad) to complete the connection. If you don't have one, use the LIFX app on Wi-Fi instead.

Yes. The LIFX app supports all generations of LIFX hardware. You get scenes, schedules, automations, voice control, and third-party integrations. The only thing missing is Matter.

Yes, all of them. Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, and Samsung SmartThings are all supported. Matter is not, but everything else is fully intact.

No catch. Clearance stock is new, unused, and ships in original packaging. Every product is covered by the standard LIFX 2-year limited warranty, the same coverage that applies to anything else in our range. The only difference between clearance and current gen is the hardware generation. You're getting a fully supported, warranty-backed product at a lower price.
