Do I need a hub or bridge to use this Switch?

No. LIFX Switch connects directly to your home Wi-Fi (2.4GHz band) and is controlled through the LIFX app, so there's no separate hub or bridge required.

Does this support Matter and Apple HomeKit?

Yes to both. LIFX Switch can be updated to support Matter via a free firmware update through the LIFX app, letting you pair it with Matter-compatible platforms like Google Home or Apple Home in addition to the LIFX app. It also works with Apple HomeKit directly out of the box — just scan the HomeKit QR code on the back of the manual using your iOS device's camera.

How many lights can I run from this Switch, and are there limits per channel?

Each of the 4 gangs (channels) supports up to 625W, with a combined total load across all four channels of 1800W. So if two channels are running 625W each, the remaining two channels combined must stay under 550W total. As a rule of thumb, add up the wattage on each channel and keep it under 625W per channel and 1800W overall.

Can I customize how the Switch looks and feels?

Yes. Using the LIFX app, you can customize the button backlight color and brightness to match your space, and adjust the haptic (vibration) feedback strength to your preference.

What happens if my Wi-Fi or internet goes down, or the power goes out?

Your non-smart lights will keep working from the wall regardless of connectivity, but smart (LIFX) lights need internet access to respond to the Switch or app. If the power goes out and comes back, non-smart lights return to the off state, while wired LIFX lights will turn back on automatically.

This item is on clearance — does it still come with the full warranty?

Yes. This is a clearance item, available while stocks last, but the discounted price doesn't affect your coverage — it still comes with the same manufacturer's warranty as full-price units, for the standard period from your date of purchase.
