Wish you could hold up/down to adjust brightness multiple levels, rather then a series of long presses to get to were you want with single steps.

Easy to wire and install, a little difficult to set up because I have a mesh router, but once I bound the IP address, it’s been flawless.

Do I need an electrician to install this?

No. The SuperColor 5-6in Downlight Retrofit uses a standard E26 screw base, so it drops straight into your existing 5" or 6-inch recessed can fitting — no wiring, no tools, no electrician required. Most installs take under 2 minutes.

Do I need a hub or bridge?

No. Every LIFX downlight connects directly to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. No bridge, no gateway, no extra hardware — just screw it in, open the app, and you're done.

What color range does it support?

The SuperColor produces billions of colors plus tunable whites from warm candlelight at 1500K all the way to cool daylight at 9000K. With a 82 CRI you get accurate, true-to-life color rendering across the full spectrum.

How bright is it?

800 lumens from just 9 watts — equivalent to a traditional 60W incandescent bulb, with a clean 110° beam angle designed for recessed ceiling applications.

What smart home platforms does it work with?

The SuperColor 6in Downlight works with Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Samsung SmartThings, and supports Matter — so it fits into virtually any smart home setup you already have.

Can this light show multiple colors at once?
