Ceiling Light Setup

Everything you need to mount and power your Ceiling Light is included in the box.

In the box:

  • 26" LED Ceiling Light
  • Mounting Bracket
  • 2 x Junction Box Screws
  • 2 x Toggle Bolts

You’ll Need:

  • A smartphone (iOS 18.0+ or Android 8.1+)
  • The LIFX app (download from App Store or Google Play)
  • A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (Most smart devices require 2.4 GHz. If your router combines 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, that’s usually fine.)
  • Your Wi-Fi password

Important Notes:

  • Keep your phone near the light during setup.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
  • Ensure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the light to use.

Before you start

  • Turn off power at the switch and circuit breaker
  • You'll need a Phillips screwdriver

Installation steps

  1. Unpack the fixture (A) and remove the mounting plate (B) by sliding it to unlock and lifting off.
  2. Ensure the included safety cable is firmly attached to the mounting plate while wiring.
  3. Align the mounting plate (B) to the junction box (C) and affix using the included screws. Mark the two outer holes — this is where you'll drill for the toggle bolts (D).
  4. Remove the mounting plate, then drill the two marked holes using a 1/2" drill bit.
  5. Remove the wings (E) from the toggle bolts (D), fit the bolts through the mounting plate (B), and reattach the wings to the back.
  6. Fold down the wings and insert the toggle bolts into the drilled holes — the wings will expand behind the ceiling. Pull the bolts downward to engage, then re-install the junction box screws and tighten the toggle bolts to secure the plate firmly.
  7. Lift the fixture (A) toward the junction box and secure the safety cable (G) to the mounted plate.
  8. Use the pre-attached connectors (F) to connect the white fixture wire to the neutral supply wire, the green fixture wire to the grounding wire, and the black fixture wire to the hot supply wire — push firmly into the connector holes.
  9. Tuck the wires and safety cable into the junction box. Unfold the small metal arms on the fixture and fit the mounting plate screws into the slot to attach.
  10. Gently swing the fixture (A) up toward the ceiling on the arms, then slide sideways to lock securely in place.

Tips

Double-check all connections are tight and correct before restoring power.

If unsure about any wiring, consult a qualified licensed electrician — all connections must comply with Local and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.

To factory reset, turn the light off and on at the switch 5 times (roughly one switch per two seconds). The light will cycle through four colors when the reset is successful.
