As working from home becomes the new normal for many, adapting the home into a productive workspace is more important than ever. We don’t pretend to have all the answers, but here are a few light related tips that have helped the LIFX Team with the transition.
Schedule your routine
Stay accountable and schedule your lights to help maintain a routine. Change the colour of your lights to signal the start of the working day, your lunch break and, maybe most importantly, when it’s time to clock off.
Set up notifications
Connect your lights with services such as IFTTT and set up useful notifications. With IFTTT you can trigger changes to your lights as a blink or colour flash when you receive a notification from Google, Email, Slack, YouTube and more.
Blue or cold light helps you stay awake and concentrated, use this during the day. Then switch to a warmer or amber light in the evening to help wind down.
