Ceiling Light Setup

Everything you need to mount and power your Ceiling Light is included in the box.

In the box:

  • 15" LED Ceiling Light
  • Mounting Bracket
  • 2 x Screws

You’ll Need:

  • A smartphone (iOS 18.0+ or Android 8.1+)
  • The LIFX app (download from App Store or Google Play)
  • A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (Most smart devices require 2.4 GHz. If your router combines 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, that’s usually fine.)
  • Your Wi-Fi password

Important Notes:

  • Keep your phone near the light during setup.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
  • Ensure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the light to use.

Before you start

  • Turn off power at the switch and circuit breaker
  • You'll need a Phillips screwdriver

Installation steps

  1. Unpack the fixture (A) and remove the mounting plate (B) by turning it counter-clockwise.
  2. Secure the included grounding wire to the mounting plate with the provided screw.
  3. Attach the mounting plate (B) to the junction box (C) by inserting the two mounting screws through the slots and aligning to the box.
  4. Use the pre-attached connectors (E) to connect the white fixture wire to the neutral supply wire, and the black fixture wire to the hot supply wire — push firmly into the connector holes.
  5. Secure the safety cable (D) to the mounted plate on the junction box.
  6. Tuck the electrical wires and safety cable into the junction box, then lift the fixture up to the mounting plate.
  7. Turn the fixture clockwise to lock it onto the mounting plate.

Tips

Double-check all connections are tight and correct before restoring power.

If unsure about any wiring, consult a qualified licensed electrician — all connections must comply with Local and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.

To factory reset, turn the light off and on at the switch 5 times (roughly one switch per two seconds). The light will cycle through colors and stop on white when reset is successful.
